Yemen’s chief says ” we will halt attacks if Saudi Arabia stops its aggression”
The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Saleh Al-Sammad said ” Yemen will halt attacks rockets if Saudi Arabia stops its aggression.
In his speech on the occasion of the 54th Anniversary of the Yemeni Revolution of 26 September, he offered a new initiative for peace.
Al-Sammad affirmed the formation of the government will definitely take place and that it was delayed for technical reasons, not due to political reasons or external or internal pressures.
He called on the UN and other states concerned with peace to pressure the Saudi regime to seize this opportunity for peace if it has the decision of war.
Al-Sammad affirmed that the SPC will spare no efforts in order to lift the sufferings of the nation.
He also noted that amnesty would be granted for the armed supporters of former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
“(We call) all fighters on the side of the aggression on the various fronts to respond to a general amnesty and come back into the national fold,” he added.
