Yemen’s army and Popular Committees hit the Saudi regime’s ammunition depots with a homegrown ballistic missile dubbed “Qaher M2” in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, sources said.

The missile command of the Yemeni army early on Friday fired the ballistic missile at Saudi depots in the kingdom’s southwestern province of Najran, Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network quoted a military source as saying.

The Qaher M2 missile accurately hit the Saudi ammunition depots in Najran, the report said.

The forces of the Arabian Peninsula country have already hit Saudi positions with various homegrown missiles, including “Qaher-1”, which has a range of 500 kilometers, and “Borkan-1”.

The solid propellant and Scud-type Borkan-1 missile reportedly has a range of more than 800 kilometers.

Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against Yemen in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Yemen’s Legal Center of Rights and Development recently announced that the Saudi campaign has claimed the lives of over 12,000 Yemenis and left more than 20,000 others wounded.
